Several restrictions may apply:
- This offer entitles borrowers in good standing during the current year to skip one month’s loan payment. Skip Payment requests will not be accepted if the account is past due or exceeds maximum interest rate allowances.
- All other terms and conditions of the loan, including the note rate and collateral security for the loan, will remain in full force and effect. When payments resume, unpaid interest will be collected first.
- Skipping payment will delay the scheduled reduction of the principal balance on your loan and, as a result, will increase the total finance charge on your loan. The maturity date of your loan will be moved back one month. This may affect the GAP coverage.
- Loan payment set up with payroll deduction or ACH from another institution will be drafted as usual and deposited into your CCU account.
- Skip-A-Payments are eligible only once every 12 months per loan.
- We will skip the payment you desire, depending on when the request is received.
- There is a processing fee as outlined above in order to Skip-A-Payment, and payment of this fee must be presented before the request can be processed.
- Credit Cards, Freedom, Home Equity, Payday, and loans with monthly payments less than $100 are not eligible for the Skip-A-Pay program.
- Columbia Credit Union reserves the right to refuse and Skip-A-Pay request.
